Impatience:
Last on the list is something almost all of us will have experienced – impatience. In today’s world where everything is super fast and convenient, our mindsets have evolved in that way as well. We want quick and easy results for everything we do, and if we don’t see them when we want, we start to feel as if we’re not making any progress at all. It’s quite the opposite really, when you’re working towards something big for yourself. You won’t see results immediately, but if you are incredibly consistent and patient, one fine day all your previous efforts will compound and you’ll feel as if you achieved what you wanted all in a day’s work, when in reality all the while you were working towards the time when the compounding would happen and you’d start to see results.
In fact, we have experienced this compounding of efforts as well. When we started our blog back in October 2020, we didn’t think about where it would go, but continued it because it was (and still is) fun. Now, after more than 20 blog posts, and several months of little to no interaction, we are gaining more followers, likes, shares and readers since the past week. So, it takes effort, consistency, a whole lot of patience, and most of all, time, but the fruits of your labour are sweeter than you’d ever imagine them to be — just keep at it!
An important thing we’d like to mention here is stopping your work because of burning out. Don’t let that happen, try to take proper breaks (without feeling guilty!) while working and don’t work more than needed if you think you’ll feel worse after it.
