Being Strong

Sometimes, we do not want to show our faces to the world. It’s nothing about our faces, but it’s when we do not want to face the world and all its challenges. We’ll be in a zone where all we want to do is be in our little shell, like a tortoise, and take things slow.

But, is that what we have to do? Should we not face the world? Should we just be by ourselves, weak and full of loneliness? No. We need to gather our courage, build up strength and be strong and get ready to face the world.

Life is filled with all kinds of challenges, bad times, and times where nothing is according to plan. This is when we have to be strong enough to face all that it is we must, instead of lying curled up in some place where we are comfortable. That’s what cowards do – not come face to face with anything and just hide behind closed doors. What good will that do? Will the problem solve itself? Will the bad time turn into a good one if we don’t do anything? Nope.

What we should do is have mental toughness, courage to do what we have to, and 100% winning energy. That’s what will turn the tables and we’ll be able to flip everything in our favour, even if it wasn’t – initially.

Everyone would love a life without anything negative in it, right? But that’s not how it is in reality, so wishing and wishing for something good to happen isn’t gonna work. You have to work– on yourself, and the challenges you face even in your everyday life.

It has been said,

“It isn’t the strong who win, but the winners who are strong”.

This statement accurately describes the kind of outlook we need to have in our life, even in the worst of times– because being strong in those times is the way to go.

With each challenge we overcome, we get stronger. Everything teaches us something, if we’re wise enough to learn, even from the bad times. That knowledge helps us to be stronger and better equipped for the challenges upcoming for us.

Being strong will get you farther in life than the person who, even if they have the knowledge, are not courageous enough to face their fears or bad times. When you’re strong, you have a mindset along the lines of “nothing can stop me”, and that ensures your continued progress towards anything you want, with any obstacles just being speed breakers instead of dead ends.

So, to be strong, you should see the world as it is. You should neither get overwhelmed by things nor should you underestimate things. You can go weak in the knees if you see how the world works, i.e., when you get overwhelmed. But you can go easy when you understand the ease of some things. Being strong is easier when you keep reminding yourself that it’s better than hiding from scary things, because your strength grows when you are strong, which is again beneficial in the long run.

You should be you, with the same amount of strength, or more of it, always – no matter how difficult or easy the task is. You should be ready to face challenges, no matter how big or small they are. You should be confident too, along with being strong. Confidence and strength seem similar, but they are different in their own ways.

Being strong is having the strength, but being confident is knowing you have the strength.

So, what are you waiting for? Get up. Try your best to do things being strong and confident, and gather up your courage to face your hardships. Tell ‘Good luck!’ to yourself on your new journey and make it something that helps you in the long run and something that remains as a memory.

“Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.”
